Mike Strickland: Associate Professor, University of Idaho – Microbial Ecology (Soil)
Jump into school with Science on Saturday at the Panida Theater!
The historic Panida Theater is launching a new educational series, Science on Saturday this weekend. Sponsored by Daher, Science on Saturday features four guest speakers from the University of Idaho and FREE admission. All ages are welcome, with the presentation targeted at engaging middle to high school students.
Mike is a research soil scientist who focuses on the interface between soil, microbial and ecosystem ecology. He is also co-lead on an $18.9 million grant to build a ‘Deep Soil Ecotron’ at University of Idaho to study the largely unknown frontier that is deep soil. Very engaging presenter.

First come, first serve general admission seating.
Full capacity auditorium, hosting a maximum of four hundred and fifty (450) guests. Advance tickets are recommended, but not required. The Panida Theater strongly encourages all guests to wear a mask, regardless of vaccine status, while enjoying performances.
