The Royal Tenenbaums is a 2001 film about a dysfunctional family of former child prodigies who reunite under the same roof after their estranged father, Royal, re-enters their lives, leading to a story about betrayal, melancholy, and eventual reconciliation. The plot follows the three adult siblings—Chas, Margot, and Richie—as they deal with their complicated pasts and attempt to rebuild relationships with each other and their father.
