Directed by Chloé Zhao and based on Maggie O'Farrell's 2020 novel, Hamnet is a 2025 historical drama exploring the domestic life of William Shakespeare (Paul Mescal) and his wife Agnes (Jessie Buckley). Set in 1590s England, the story follows their early romance, William's artistic pursuits in London, and the heartbreaking death of their 11-year-old son, Hamnet, from the plague.
